Journal of Amhara Studies launched

Journal of Amhara studies calls for papers focusing on Amhara societies. The call is for Amhara scholars world wide. It will be a great platform to contribute for Amhara scholars 

To facilitate and organize the amharas contributein for the journal a zoom meeting is called for october 12,  2024. 

The Journal of Amhara Studies (JAS) has announced a call for research manuscripts for its upcoming inaugural issue. JAS is an open-access, quarterly, multidisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing articles in both Amharic and English. Its mission is to create a platform for the dissemination of research and critical thought on issues affecting the Amhara people, Ethiopia, and the broader region.

Academics, policymakers, and the public are encouraged to contribute their insights in key focus areas, including Economics, Development, and Rehabilitation; Science and Technology; Health, Education, and Social Services; Agriculture, Environment, and Climate Change; Politics and Human Rights; Amhara Culture and Language; History; and Internal, Regional, and International Relations. The journal particularly welcomes submissions addressing current challenges faced by the Amhara people for its inaugural issue.

Manuscripts can be submitted via email to submissions@journalofamharastudies.org. For detailed guidelines on formatting, manuscript submission, and additional information, interested contributors can visit the journal’s website at journalofamharastudies.org.

The editorial team, led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Girma Berhanu, urges the widespread dissemination of this announcement to encourage a diverse range of submissions.
